What do we mean by empowerment?

In its current definition, ‘empower’ means to give authority or power to. At Pinkvox, we’re not one’s for accepting standard definitions; we want women to create their own. We hold that every woman possesses an innate authority within herself, one that can be utilised through crowd-collaboration with like-minded individuals. Our conception of empowerment is that of the process whereby in giving power to others through the sharing of her skills and knowledge, a woman will simultaneously give power to herself.

Why we are doing it?

Pinkvox was born out of a dissatisfaction with the choices and answers available to women today.
Women at Pinkvox are pioneers of a new way of living and working built upon the principles of collaboration, honesty and practical support.
This is the Pinkvox philosophy: choices defined by women, for women.

The Name: Pinkvox is the combination of ‘Pink’ and ‘Vox’, where pink symbolises women and vox is the Latin word for power. The iconic queen of chess strategically replaces the letter ‘i’ in the logo to symbolise the power of “I”. The name represents our mission to facilitate empowerment by drawing on our collective strength and wisdom.
